DENTIST — COVINGTON, WA

My wife had a root canal and crown work done by Dr Kwok. One of the major-chain dental offices insisted they had to refer us to an endodontist specialist for... read more the root canal. But Dr. Kwok is a general dentist that will actually do a root canal and crown in his own office. Dr. Kwok was fantastic! I was able to be present in the work station during the entire process to support my wife and see how the process went. We were able to get an emergency appointment for the root canal the same day, while other offices insisted on a consult then come back a different day after the weekend for the root canal. We were so impressed by Dr. Kwok's thorough work on my wife's root canal, we scheduled the crown & build-up with him a couple of days later even though he is over an hour away from us. Typically, a crown would require one visit to get the crown area "built" and have a cast made. That cast would have to be sent out to a lab to have the custom crown made, which takes about 2 weeks. Then a second appointment would be made to install the crown. But Dr. Kwok's office has some amazing equipment that can speed up your entire process! 1. He has portable, ultra low radiation x-ray machines at every work station, so x-rays can be done quickly by the doctor rather than a lab tech, and if the image isn't right then it can be taken again immediately. 2. He has a machine and microscope that he uses to detect the root depth and configuration to ensure the entire root is removed; don't ask me how that voodoo works, but it looked pretty technical. 3. He has an amazing upgrade available for crowns: a high-tech, computerized crown-making machine that maps out your tooth and its surrounding bite with 3D imagery, and then produces a perfectly formed zirconian crown, on-site, in less than 45 minutes. Dr. Kwok is also great at responding to patients' needs and following up with them after serious work he's done. He's willing to answer all your questions before and after procedures. His level of post-care and customer service has been astounding and extremely satisfying to know we actually had a dentist that cared about his patients "beyond the chair." As I mentioned, my wife and I live over an hour away from this office, but it was worth the drive for such a great dentist and such a caring human being. We whole-heartedly recommend him, and his office, to absolutely anyone looking for a dentist. I cannot say enough praise about Dr. Kwok and his friendly staff.

All other dentists and endodontists wanted to push out the appointment several days and/or have consultations first, meanwhile I was dying from pain and already had a root canal referral from Bright Now (whose dentists do NOT perform root canals) which made consultations redundant. Thank God for Dr. Kwok and an insurance broker named Linda who pointed me in his direction during my desperate search!

My partner recommended this place to me after he had researched and consulted with what felt like dozens of other dentists in this area. He had a ton of work... read more done last year and was pleased with the service and the prices. I had a check up and cleaning here last year, and now I'm in the process of getting a new crown after Dr. Kwok did my root canal. Getting a root canal is brutal but Dr. Kwok and Cornelius took good care of me and I felt minimal discomfort during the procedure which says a lot because I am admittedly a huge baby when it comes to this stuff. Also Carol is so nice and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling and payments. She's nice to talk to! There's another staff member who helped with my procedure but I can't remember her name right now - she's super cool and has a very gentle touch as well! LASTLY - they take their time with you if that's what is needed. And they don't make you wait for your appointment, I always just wait a minute or two after I get there before I'm seen. Good stuff!

Cornelius and Jennifer treated me with respect and were very professional even though they were very busy. I felt like I was their only patient. Dr. Kwok educated me on a variety of ways that I could prevent further gum and enamel damage. I had no idea that what I thought was the best way of doing things was actually harming my teeth! Furthermore, the hygienist was great as well, Jennifer, I think. Dr. Kwok was awesome too. Very humorous, which also calmed my nerves. Altogether, the staff was welcoming and I think this would be a nice place to take someone who is nervous about dentist visits.

The staff (Carol, Gina, Selena, Jen) are super friendly and helpful. They are accommodating and understanding for all my dental needs. Please make this your new dental home.

Michelle-at the front desk, Jen-my hygienist, and Sabrina-who scanned my teeth, were all very professional and pleasant. The office had a happy and upbeat vibe that made me conclude that this must be a good place to work. My time with Dr. Kwok was brief, but I am confident that I will be returning to more frequent visits in the future.
